Building confidence through clearer information
Provider verification helps improve confidence in listings, but it should not be treated as a complete guarantee of suitability, safety or regulatory compliance.
What verification may involve
Verification may include checking business identity, authorised contact details, website ownership, regulator information, profile accuracy, documents supplied by the provider or other available information.
Provider responsibility
Providers must keep their information accurate and notify Find Carers when key details change, including service status, contact details, registration details or service categories.
What verification does not mean
Verification does not mean Find Carers guarantees quality, safety, availability, pricing, regulatory compliance or care outcomes. It also does not replace CQC, Ofsted, DBS, local authority or professional checks.
User responsibility
Clients and families should still carry out their own checks before choosing any provider or independent professional.
- Check CQC registration where personal care is involved
- Confirm staff training and DBS checks
- Ask about safeguarding and complaints procedures
- Understand fees, cancellation terms and care planning
- Request references and carry out your own due diligence
Keep your provider profile up to date
Look for clear, up-to-date provider information before making contact.
