Accessibility Statement

FindCarers is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability or assistive technology.

Our Commitment

We want everyone who visits FindCarers to feel welcome and be able to use the site with confidence. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced in the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

What We Have Done

We have worked to ensure that our pages use clear heading structures, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive link text, and keyboard-navigable components. Images include descriptive alt text, and form fields are properly labelled for screen reader compatibility.

Known Limitations

We are aware that some areas of the site may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. These include certain interactive maps, some third-party embedded content, and legacy PDF documents. We are actively working to address these areas.

Mobile and Assistive Technology

FindCarers is designed to be responsive across all screen sizes and is compatible with modern screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (iOS and macOS), and TalkBack (Android). We support browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Language and Reading

The website is written in plain English and uses clear, concise language to describe care services and features. We aim to keep reading levels accessible to a wide audience.

Feedback and Contact

If you experience any accessibility barriers on FindCarers, or if you need information in an alternative format (such as large print or plain text), please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 5 working days.
