Ofsted Mock Inspector – Children's Services

PolicyBase is seeking experienced children's social care professionals to join our growing Associate Consultant Network as Ofsted Mock Inspectors. This role is designed for highly experienced sector professionals who can independently assess children's services against current Ofsted inspection frameworks and provide providers with realistic inspection experiences, constructive challenge and meaningful improvement recommendations. As an Ofsted Mock Inspector, you will undertake detailed inspection-readiness reviews of children's homes, supported accommodation services, fostering agencies, childcare settings and other regulated services. This opportunity is ideal for former Ofsted inspectors, Responsible Individuals, Registered Managers, Operations Managers, senior social care leaders and other experienced professionals with extensive knowledge of inspection frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct realistic mock inspections. Review compliance with legislation and regulations. Evaluate safeguarding systems. Assess leadership and management effectiveness. Review children's experiences and progress. Examine care planning processes. Assess risk management systems. Produce detailed inspection reports. Provide action plans and recommendations. Support providers to improve inspection readiness. Maintain professional independence and objectivity.
