Independent Regulation 44 Visitor

PolicyBase is seeking experienced children's residential care professionals to join our growing network of Independent Regulation 44 Visitors. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your experience and knowledge of children's residential care to support providers in maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance. As an Independent Regulation 44 Visitor, you will conduct monthly independent visits to children's homes in accordance with Regulation 44 of The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and provide objective assessments of the quality of care being delivered. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Managers, Responsible Individuals, former Ofsted inspectors, senior leaders and other suitably qualified professionals with substantial experience within children's residential care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent monthly Regulation 44 visits. Assess the quality of care provided to children. Evaluate safeguarding arrangements and practices. Review children's files and relevant records. Examine incident records and behaviour management practices. Review staff recruitment and training arrangements. Evaluate leadership and management effectiveness. Produce comprehensive Regulation 44 reports. Submit reports within agreed timescales. Maintain professional independence and objectivity. Escalate safeguarding concerns where necessary.
