Children's Support Worker

Brandso Care Network is seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated Children's Support Workers to support children and young people within residential care, supported accommodation, outreach services, family support services and community-based settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to positively influence the lives of children and young people who may have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, disrupted attachments, neglect, abuse, family breakdown, exploitation, mental health challenges or behavioural difficulties. As a Children's Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping young people feel safe, valued, respected and supported while promoting positive outcomes in line with their care plans, placement plans and individual aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people. Provide consistent emotional and practical support. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Support education attendance and achievement. Encourage participation in hobbies, interests and activities. Support the development of independence skills. Assist with daily routines and structure. Maintain professional boundaries. Complete accurate and timely records. Contribute to care planning and reviews. Support young people to attend appointments. Promote health and wellbeing. Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action.
